- people who cannot fathom the idea of anyone eating food other than foods they are comfortable with. examples: guinea pig, cricket, rat, squirrel, cicada, worm.
while heading to work from my infusion/lunch, i passed a small group of people discussing the latest travel programs they watched. a girl squeamished, "i saw one where this guy was roasting a guinea pig on a stick. i mean, how can you eat guinea pig? yuck." (click for photo, courtesy of tim)
well, dear lady, you eat guinea pig, rat, squirrel, cicadas, and worms when that's the food that is available to you. it's fine if you don't like the idea of eating guinea pig or worms. howver, you cannot scoff at another culture's or person's choice of food. it makes you sound small minded and ignorant. by the way, guinea pig tastes pretty darn good and juicy, kind of like duck.
just because i roll my eyes at you doesn't mean i don't like you. just maybe a little less than i did before.

hAHAHA~ that's a guinea pig foot! awesome. As "extreme" as your examples were.. people get squeamish over little things too. Some people I know can't even handle looking at a whole steamed fish. Maybe because it's looking back at them? Dood, the cheeks are the best pieces of meat on the fish. YUM.
I don't care if you "roll your eyes at me" but i find that absolutely disgusting... Just looking at that picture makes me disgusted. I type "guinea pigs" in google, trying to find a nice picture of one of those adorable little creatures and THIS shows up... Say what you like, but to me this is something terribly cruel. I am being very biased because i own 3 guinea pigs, but I'm sure that even if I didn't, I would agree with this
heyy, i own 2 guinea pigs, who had 2 babies but wow, i also hate when i go into google & see this, how would you feel if you were the owner of a guinea pig and saw this picture? just as if someone posted a picture of them eating a dog, i think its wrong and it is disturbing. but hey, do what pleases you.
i'd eat the dog too.
